16th June, 2016, the sun shining gloriously, Anqing Foreign Language School organized a spectacular social practice campaign. At 9 A.M. 50 students from Class 7, Grade 10 headed for the court in Ying Jiang District, Anqing City by bus to sit on court trial with regard to crimes of picking quarrels& provoking troubles.
The courtroom trial consisted of indictment read out by prosecutors, proof putting& cross-examination by court, debate in tribunal in addition to pronouncing judgment. Afterwards, the presiding judge read off the written judgment at court.
Additionally, Chief Judge Qi conducted law dissemination for students and answered their questions after the court hearing. By means of this social practice event, students obtained further comprehension towards the property, obligation& function of people’s procurators and people’s courts, receiving vivid legal education.
In conclusion, students gained knowledge that they could not get otherwise in class through this informative campaign. They expressed one after another that in the future they would make citizens who observe law& discipline, possess responsibilities towards families as well as have senses of social responsibility. During the course of court trial, students, who generated dense interest in legal affairs, were deeply filled with admiration for procurators& judges. Some of them indicated that they would register themselves for law major and were determined to become excellent judges& public prosecutors to defend the dignity of law, making contributions to build a socialist legal country.
